Each user is assigned one of three permission levels, which determines how much freedom they have when choosing where an order is sent. This is set up centrally so the business keeps control over where deliveries can go.
1. Fixed address only
The user can only send to a single predefined address. They cannot choose a different one or make any changes. This is the most restrictive option and suits situations where all deliveries must go to one location, such as a head office or a single site.
2. Choose from predefined addresses
The user can select from a list of predefined addresses set up by the administrator, but cannot edit them or add new ones. This works well when there are several approved destinations, for example a set of branch locations, and you want users to pick from that approved list without straying outside it.
3. Choose from predefined addresses and edit
The user can select a predefined address and then adjust the details before the order is placed, or enter a different address entirely. This is the most flexible option and suits users who need to send to varying or one-off destinations.
Managed by your administrator
These permissions are configured by the site administrator for control purposes, so that address options match your organisation's policies. Administrators can review and change a user's permission level at any time as needs change, moving someone between fixed, select, and select-and-edit access without any action required from the user.
